What is Gold Filled?
Gold filled jewellery comprises a base metal with an outer layer of thick durable, pressure-bonded solid gold.
Gold filled is not to be confused with gold plating, there’s more gold in gold filled and the gold is attached in a way that’s much more durable. This also makes it safe for people with allergies or sensitive skin. Anyone that can wear gold, can wear gold filled jewellery as it’s nickel free and hypoallergenic.
If properly cared for, gold filled jewellery can stay beautiful for a lifetime.
Caring for Sterling Silver & Gold Filled jewellery
925 Sterling Silver and 14k/18k gold filled jewellery will tarnish naturally over time and requires occasional cleaning. For light tarnishing, use a soft polishing cloth. Due to the natural nature of the gemstones, refrain from using any cleaning solution.
Remove jewellery before showering, swimming and exercising. Avoid contact with water and perfume. The best way to keep your jewellery looking its best is to keep it stored in an air tight pouch.
